This beautiful basement finish was just completed in Johns Creek, GA. The project was a major structural undertaking with the removal of two major load bearing walls to create a large bar and game room. Two 26 foot long beams weighing 1800 pounds each were carefully installed to create the monster 24' X 38' room. The shear size and weight of the beams and a steep backyard made this project challenging. With carefully calculated engineering we were able to maintain maximum ceiling height while spanning the entire length of the room. More wall removals took place in the gym. This room was in an underground section of the basement and by installing the 10 foot section of glass entry doors it allowed some natural light to enter the space making it a more pleasing space to workout. The beautiful bar speaks for itself.
