Faced with the challenges of a remodel, sometimes you have to get creative. Sometimes you have to bend the “rules”. Sometimes you have to throw the “rules” out the window. Dropped ceiling areas and existing windows created unique obstacles in addition to adding a pantry, upgrading appliances and creating more usable workspace. We integrated the new pantry by continuing the cabinet molding from the refrigerator area all the way around the pantry, creating a seamless transition. With multiple height changes being unavoidable, taking focus away from the dropped ceiling and bringing your eye to the hood area was the goal. With a custom hood, large island and lots of usable storage and workspace, we brought this kitchen up to date for this modern, busy family.
