The homeowners have a growing family and like to entertain, and the existing kitchen was too small for more than one person at a time. The kitchen was enlarged by taking space from a very large but unused dining room, while the locations of windows and major appliances were left in place. A larger pantry was created, along with space for double ovens. The two-level counter provides seating for family, guests and entertaining.
