A complete reconfiguration and addition to an existing, unfinished home overlooking Lake Keystone. The clients wanted to transform the traditional (shell) structure to a modern, low maintenance, energy efficient residence reflecting their style and tastes. The 3000sf design reclaimed the existing structure as the base for the garage and art studio addition. Raw materials were utilized throughout to tie the elements of the residence to the site and its surroundings. Xeriscaping was implemented to blend the residence into the existing environment of blackjack oaks, eastern red cedars and sandstone boulders.
