An interior update and renovation of a 1950's ranch-style single-level residence. The project started as a simple paint and refinish update and expanded to encompass the entire house, including renovation of all finished, hardware, lighting and the fireplace. All new energy-efficient lighting, plumbing and audio/video systems were installed to elevate the residence to efficiency standards and modern technological features. The client's design goal was to refine the existing ranch style of the residence by adding 50's modern ranch elements and design details that enhanced the original charm and scale of the residence. The updated residence included a living room fireplace makeover incorporating a hidden home theater system and built-in display shelving accented with natural stone, raw steel and cast concrete.
