Kids bath

A bath for three kids that would be used by visitors too? Had to be tough and beautiful. Solid surface flooring in shower removes all grime concerns, the built in stores away all the clutter, and the floor is pretty as a picture.

With a need for light and privacy, we replaced the double hung original window with a fixed opaque panel. Because the shower is spacious, we skipped the door and the solid surface shower pan makes keeping it clean a breeze. (Not seen--a secondary spray handle on bench side.
A roomy shower...open and yet closed

Kids bath
Pairing new with old, the 1920's bathroom was gutted, except for the great built-in (still to be done--replacing with an opaque glass insert for enhanced privacy)...but the large shower, bench, fixed head, and shower arm (at bench) provide plenty of room. See other pics for vanity and floor...

Always fun to see the finished product really reflect the original design scheme.
The original design plan
Before
The original bath--had a separate shower and tub, but everything was in rough shape. The shower was too dark to be used. By gutting it all, in favor or a large shower with bench, the room became spacious, airy, light-filled, with the charm needed to feel appropriate for the 1900s era house.
