After renovating nearly every room in my home, it was time to tackle my son's bath. The laminate cabinets were becoming discolored, he was becoming too tall for the 30" high counter and he didn't want to take showers in the bathtub/shower combo unit. It was bittersweet to remove this bathtub where I had bathed him when he was an infant/toddler. But making the decision to take out the tub was a good one! With lots more room and a spa-like shower experience, the new shower is way more inviting for a teenager. I bought a ready-made vanity online, and had a custom quartz counter and 2 undermount sinks installed. 12x24 porcelain floor tile was installed in a grid pattern, and the grey travertine in the shower was installed in a brick pattern. The flat stone pebble floor is my favorite part!
