Our client had an very nice sized home, but the existing kitchen was extremely small and didn't feel like it belonged. A peninsula and soffits made it feel even smaller and closed in.
Just removing the peninsula wasn't going to be enough to make this kitchen feel like a match for the rest of the home. A large laundry room behind the kitchen was relocated upstairs to allow this kitchen to stretch out and give you the showstopper you see in these photos, with the added convenience of a 2nd floor laundry.
