Ms. S had someone plant traditional foundation shrubs, and they died. I assessed the soil and recommended replacing them with plants better suited to the space. Using primarily native grasses and perennials, this design offers interest in all seasons, requires minimal maintenance, and feeds caterpillars, butterflies, and birds.
