Kirkwood, MO Lively Condo Makeover
The new owner of a 12 year-old condo in Kirkwood, MO needed to make some changes. Leveling the floors, installing more efficient windows and removing the hot tub from the master bathroom were the starting point. While working with the Mosby team on these items, she decided to make further changes to tailor the home to her tastes and lifestyle.
The open-plan main living area has a breezy, contemporary feel because decorative columns were removed, the entrance to the home office was reconfigured (including the addition of a transom window and new French doors), and new flooring, lighting and paint created a resort feel.
A kitchen that is an integral part of an open floorplan condominium in Kirkwood, MO enjoys a complete makeover to match the breezy and contemporary feel of the rest of her remodeled condo.
Sleek, flat-front cabinets with a Latte finish and Cambria quartz countertops in Torquay set the modern tone. The backsplashes have a nice design twist: the colorful glass mosaic tiles above the Blanco undermount sink and the remaining white glass tiles are installed vertically.
To keep with a clean line, most all appliances (and trash cans) conveniently hide behind cabinet doors. Even the vent hood for the multi-height island’s electric range disappears from sight when not in use. Pops of vibrant accent colors connect the kitchen to its surroundings while also being a calm cooking oasis.
