This common 1980's kitchen layout offered a limited u-shaped workspace. The entire room was divided by the peninsula, providing kitchen on one side & a separate area for informal dining, or eat-in breakfast room. Redesigned to make the most of the space, we opened up the whole room & enlarged the doorway to the formal dining, added a patio door to the deck & still provided seating in the kitchen. Ample storage was gained & attention to detail given to specific needs & function of the kitchen.
