Frustrated by an existing peninsula's tendency to create traffic bottlenecks, these homeowners turned to HKB for a solution to make their kitchen more open and free-flowing. HKB installers and craftsmen replaced the peninsula with a standalone, allowing for easier movement and access to all work surfaces. Finishes were chosen to match closely with the existing kitchen table. Primary kitchen cabinets are antique white from Simplicity Square. Countertops from St. Cecilia provide a durable and sophisticated work surface for preparation and serving and maple hardwood flooring extends into the kitchen from other rooms on the first level.
