This Remodel-in-Place kitchen involved refreshing the existing cabinets on the stove/sink side with new paint, doors, drawers, hardware, and crown molding. Interiors of the cabinets were refitted with roll-out trays. On the opposite wall, new cabinets were constructed over the top of the refrigerator (including a small broom closet hidden to the left of the refrigerator, as well as a custom trash can/knife drawer/utility drawer cabinet against the stairwell, The concrete counterop mimics the quartz top on the wall with the sink. A closet-turned-pantry on the stair landing repeats the terra cotta accent color. Original Artwork and photography enhance the space. The backsplash tile from Rookwood Pottery, a custom tile designed by A. Maris Bernard, completes the contemporary look in a craftsman-era home.
