Kitchen Revitalization!

Some kitchens can be transformed with out being gutted.
These projects are examples of what I like to call Kitchen 'Revitalization'.
Updating finishes, appliances and surface elements and lighting may be all your kitchen need to enter the 21st century.

Before: A typical circa 1970's kitchen, boxed in and cut off from the rest of the home.

After: An open inviting design, achieved by opening kitchen to a barely used dining room. Add new door fronts, hardware and paint finish, granite counter tops, tile back splash, downdraft range, updated lighting and flooring.

One of the most dramatic design remodeling, is opening a dated kitchen to the rest of the home. Opening the kitchen and re-purposing otherwise unused rooms can bring people together and possibly change a family dynamic.

A coffee & wine bar with extra storage was added to a previously empty corner. Bench style seating was also installed to define a cozy breakfast nook.

Before - Wall cabinets with unusable drawers, dated backslash, cabinet finish, brass faucet, and hardware and top molding that lacked style and scale.

After - New Stainless steel hood, added molding to tie cabinetry together. Fresh white paint, marble tile with terra cotta accents help bring together the terra cotta floor. Complimentary paint color - Soft bottle glass green.

After - Minimal cabinet rework, new hardware, faucet, stainless steel double oven, coved crown molding , up to date and scale.Fresh soft white paint on cabinets. Voila! Revitalized!
