La Colombe D'or Mansion

Built in 1923 and originally named the Fondren Mansion, this family home turned boutique hotel has been a fixture of Montrose Boulevard for nearly a century. Breathing new life into this historic building took surgical precision, extraordinary collaboration, and a whole lot of hard work and dedication. And we loved every second of it!

The addition to the existing bar space allowed us to create additional indoor and outdoor seating and an outdoor cigar lounge in this historic hotel. The combination of the existing bar shelving with a contemporary backsplash and new trim created a beautifully unique space!

The ornate trim on the doorway leads to the newly furnished sitting room. The trim work was restored and new trim was seamlessly patched in throughout this historic renovation. The ornate trim combined with the new more modern fixtures and furniture give the historic renovation a fresh feel.

The beautifully restored staircase stands as a welcoming fixture in the entryway of the hotel. It highlights the beauty of the historic woodwork and detailed craftmanship.

Each room in this historic hotel features a sitting room. This is one of the sitting areas in the guest suite that has been furnished with modern furniture highlighting the restored trim work and large windows! What a great way to relax and enjoy the city.

One of 4 restored dining rooms boasts a coffered ceiling, hardwoods and a restored fireplace. Tonight & Tomorrow serves classical & seasonal dishes, international wines and craft cocktails served from the newly installed commercial restaurant kitchen.
