Lakefront Cottage - "The Treehouse"

This project was a renovation of an historic Harold Zook designed residence. Elements from the original architecture were used as design cues for the renovation of the interiors, exteriors, and details. We created custom details to enhance the character of the house, including a spiderweb motif stair railing and fireplace screen.

One of our standard project details will include a weathervane. This one in copper to match the cap. The roof is cedar shingles.

We created a whimsical window trim condition to enhance the small existing windows. We reinforced the existing home's diagonal patterns by adding a small square mirror set diagonally above the window with a sconce mounted on it, which helps amplify the light.
