When we started this project, we had to dig down a lot as the garden was not level. After all the digging was complete, we began installing the fencing. Following this, we built the walls and prepared for the cladding stones. We then laid down the membrane and placed the hardcore for a 150mm sub-base, compacting it several times with the walker plate. Next, we laid the porcelain with primer at the back, spreading the wet mortar between 30mm to 50mm. Once the porcelain was in place, the next day we started carefully cutting the curved shapes until it was completed. Subsequently, we prepared the area where the artificial grass would be placed, clearing it and laying the same membrane, then adding the 100mm hardcore. We leveled the sand and proceeded to lay the 44mm artificial grass. The cutting required for the curves took some time, but overall, it was a delightful project to undertake.
