Laurie House Project at ETS

The Laurie House project was an exciting one that I am honored to have been a part of. The historic house is located on the ETS campus in Princeton, NJ. It was built in 1769 and was a hunting club way back then. Now it is a place for guests to relax, spend a little quiet time, and enjoy the historic surroundings.

As you enter the resort, you are welcomed into a bright open space with beautifully carved pieces of furniture. The accessories were kept to a minimal so the furniture pieces could be appreciated and to keep the entry from being too cluttered.
Laurie House Entryway
We wanted the guests staying at the resort to really be able to enjoy every room. Here we chose four deep and cozy leather chairs, and two smaller chairs by the bay window. We have ample seating and now guests can stay a little longer to enjoy conversation, a good cocktail, and a warm fire.

This sitting room is right off of the Master Guest suite, so if you're looking for a little private time near the fireplace, this room is a definite. It allows the guest to unwind, enjoy a meal in their room, or just have some quiet alone time with a book.

The casual bright feel of this room, makes it a beautiful one to wake up in. We kept it simple by using the coordinated bed and nightstand set and then adding a little contrast with a darker desk. Here you can rest, relax, do a little work, and stay refreshed all at the same time.

In this Eclectic bedroom we decided to used furniture pieces with a lot of texture and keep the patterns and fabric textures to a minimum. It's not a huge room, but we had enough room to allow for a tall dresser and a nightstand along with the closet space.

In this bedroom we wanted to minimize the wall of windows behind the bed so the room stayed warm and cozy. We softened the metal bed frame with draperies behind it and in the same turn softened the light that would also come through them.

We loved how open and bright this room is, and decided that a white upholstered bed would be a really good way to keep the room feeling spacious. We kept it clean and minimal and still had enough space for a plush cozy chair and ottoman for guests to relax at the end of a long day.

We loved the simplicity of this bedroom, and because there wasn't as much room for furniture we decided to add some texture to the room with a white diamond tufted upholstered bed.

On the other side of the room, across from where the diamond tufted upholstered bed sits, we have a little desk space for guests to sit and get some work done in between meetings. We kept it simple and used a desk with turned legs to keep the room feeling open and adda little more texture.
