LED Ribbon Lighting
With the new LED lighting technology comes many new things that can be easily and discreetly lit like book shelves, glass-front kitchen cabinets, nooks, display cases and bars. These objects were hard to light before LED.
The best product on the market to light these areas and many more is LED ribbon or tape. This consists of a flexible miniature circuit board about ¼” wide x 1/8” high with LED light sources attached. The resulting “tape” is flexible, can be trimmed every few inches and also comes with a sticky back. They can be used in many different applications and you will never see the source.
LED tape does not get warm, lasts for 35,000 hours and uses very little electricity (1.2 to 4.4 watts per foot depending on type).
And today’s LED’s are not the bluish ones we remember. They are much warmer and are close to the color of halogen lighting that everyone likes.
