Lincoln Updated Front Yard
Channing had returned to Lincoln to attend a Nebraska Cornhusker football game and decided to drive by the house his grandparents used to live in. When he drove past, there was a "For Sale" sign in front. After putting some thought into the situation, he decided to purchase the house for his mother to move into. He did not like the looks of the front lawn and the inconvenience of mowing the severe slope.
Channing called us for a solution and we proposed a short retaining wall with new steps. The original plan was to build the wall across the entire front of the property, but there was a natural gas line running to the house. We stopped the wall at this point and proposed an alternative plan for the rest of the slope that included plantings with deep root structures that would help with soil retention on the slope.
