Linda Vista
Previously remodeled in the 1980's, our goal was to transform a dark and dated existing dark bathroom space into a bright and luxurious master bath for this Pasadena home.
The goal of the homeowners was to update an existing master bath into a luxurious retreat that was bright and inviting in design. Use of white ceramic tile wainscoting and a carrara marble mosaic tile flooring provided a bright and luxurious backdrop for this bathroom design. Since the space was relatively narrow, a custom 20-inch deep double vanity was used to maximize storage while providing adequate usable space around the vanity. The partition wall that separated the original vanity space from the toilet and shower area was removed, allowing for a larger, brighter space with a more thoughtful floor plan. To provide natural light within the space, a new window was installed. And, to maximize the amount of usable space, a frosted glass pocket door was installed along with a single shower panel with curbless shower. The color palate and finishes were tied together with use of carrara marble mosaic tile flooring, white ceramic tile wainscotting and shower wall tile and a blue onyx quartzite countertop. Newport Brass shower and lavatory fittings were all specified in polished chrome. The end result was a bright, luxurious and inviting master bath.
