Long Hytte

This addition and renovation of a historic 18th-century Norwegian cabin or ‘hytte’ by the fjord connects the living space to the surrounding landscape through a new glass façade and terrace. At the opposite side of the cabin, a path by the entry door leads to an outdoor shower inside a rocky cliff, carved by an ancient ice slide. The interiors of the long narrow space are liberated to provide a view from one end of the cabin to the other.
