Long Lane Farm

The Long Lane Farm house, completed in 2013 by Bragg & Company Construction, is sited to take advantage of the view toward the water and its wildlife, to allow abundant natural light during the colder months, and to provide outdoor shade on the water side during the hotter months. On the exterior, clean lines and simple landscaping give the house a contemporary feel, while the white clapboard siding, weathered metal roof, and minimal outdoor lighting respect the neighbors and the history of Long Lane Farm. Inside, spaces are defined by simple but well proportioned details, and the neutral color palette keeps the focus on the outside views. A Rumford-style wood burning fireplace anchors the living space. Other features include rustic wood floors, a geothermal heating and cooling system, and high-performance insulation.
