This vacation home in the Arizona desert is the fourth project we have collaborated on with these wonderful clients. It is a gathering place that can accommodate multiple generations as their family of four grown children branches out. After purchasing an existing home, they commissioned us to create a style completely different than their primary home in the Chicago suburbs. We avoided the typical Southwestern look, but drew on the colors and softness of the desert colors for our palette of peaches, creams and delicate blues and greens. During the process, we selected virtually every furnishing, including art, accessories and even the bathroom rugs. Durable fabrics were a must-have. So was relaxing and having a great time.
