LZZ House

AIA 2016 Award Winning House features indoor-outdoor focus. Passive solar south facade for winter heat gain with 6' overhangs to protect from summer sun.
Decoration comes from the honesty and expression of the materials used. No added ornamentation. Concrete shear wall becomes a portal entry to the house. Concrete shear wall also visible in living area. Concrete floors, concrete patios, plywood floor upstairs cut into 48" squares and laid with grain alternating.
