Madison Park, Seattle
Modern home in an old Seattle neighborhood. Though landscape space is limited we maximized a lush feel by planting densely around patio spaces connected by meandering stone paths through multi-trunk groves of trees. We also utilized the space between the sidewalk and street with a linear planting to connect to the flavor of the neighborhood while also packing it full of Siberian iris and mondo grass which keeps it green when the iris fade for the winter. There is a sense of privacy and "being inside" this landscape that almost makes the the streets and surrounding houses disappear.
