Mahogany Entrance

This was a complete replacement of an old single door entrance with a double mahogany door. The jamb system, all moldings, and the interior door surround were all custom made on site. Truly a one of a kind feature to a beautiful home.

Double entry solid mahogany doors. Doors were reclaimed slabs purchased by the client. They are eight foot doors that were altered to go into a space with eight foot ceiling height.

The door jamb system, weather strip moulding , threshold, and brick moulding, were all custom milled out of African Mahogany. They were stained with an architectural dye stain to match the original door finish.

Mahogany Entrance
First fitting of the door into the rough opening. We ordered engineered studs for the walls to carry the weight of the doors. We also eliminated the header to accommodate maximum height. The header was replaced with engineered wood and had 1/4" steel flat bar inserted to carry the load.
