Major Deck Overhaul

One of our larger projects this year. This small paint, and wood rot job turned in a "major water damage potential disaster avoiding overhaul," taking off about 3 tons tile off this poorly supported, terribly water proofed deck finish and under-deck drainage system and replacing with waterproofed composite deck overlooking beautiful Green Island Country Club. You can see from the before pictures the 2.5in of tile mortar and underlayment off this deck that was getting sever water damage because of the failing underdeck drainage system was not allowing the water to exit adequately and did not have any ventilation creating a green house of hot damp deck framing that was beginning to rot and at the worst locations, the column and beam connection. We added staid landing and replaced the tile with composite deck boards on top of new water proofing membrane and top notch wall flashing, and replaced the leaking rusty gutter with new aluminum seamless gutters and additional downspouts, and even added in 2 ceiling fans under the deck.

Waterproofing ICE and Water shield was used as underlayment to our new composite deck boards, to seal this deck and keep water from getting beneath this deck in the framing structure below, and prevent further water damages and rot.
