Master Bath
For this project we worked to update the original house master bath. The corner built in bathtub was replaced with a freestanding Jacuzzi soaking tub. The bathtub is outfitted with a Victoria & Albert bath tray that will hold 2 wine glasses and a towel, etc. During demo we uncovered a hidden heat vent that was in the area where the bathtub originally was from when the house was built. The original heat vent was piped and open to let heat in. The homeowners were ecstatic about this because they now have much needed heat. We also installed a combination heat/fan over the shower area. The original vanity was built in oak. The homeowners wanted an updated look of using an alder wood species and custom finished to match the existing doors in the bath. The vanity was built higher to accommodate the taller homeowners. The sinks are fabulously raised a bit. This type of sink is in the Aria hotel in Las Vegas which we saw and took pictures to show the homeowners and they decided to incorporate them in their bathroom. The went with oil rubbed bronze fixtures. For the flooring they went with a Duracermic which get installed like ceramic tile with a grout line but the feel is softer and warmer on the feet and very durable. The custom tiled shower has a built in bench. We totally adored this couple and they were so easy to work with! We hope they enjoy their new relaxing space for many years to come.
