Master Bedroom Attic Dormer Addition

The addition of a 14' x 12' gable dormer to this 1920's home just outside Seattle dramatically transformed what used to be unusable attic space into a tranquil Y contemporary master bedroom retreat.

A wall of mirrored closets with overhead lighting provides plenty of storage. Standard Ikea cabinets have been customized to fit under the lowest point of the gable dormer addition. The vaulted ceilings are covered in cedar and the floors in a dark-stained bamboo.
