Renovation, Remodel and addition of 1960's mid century home in Woodstock, NY.
Once dark and dated, this home came to life after the renovation was complete. The dark brown paneled walls were painted white along with the orange shelving unit to showcase the incredible original malm fireplace. Keeping with the architecture the decor mixed mid-mod with rustic modern touches. A new kitchen was added and extended to provide this weekend escape with the kitchen the NYC owners lacked during the week. A mix of butcher block counters with high gloss cabinets created that rustic yet modern feel they were looking for. In the master bedroom a luxury suite was created by adding a four piece bathroom. A modern zen feeling was created with a mahogany wrap around bench leading to a built in tub. Cool watery blue gray with dark pebbles and marble give the room a spa feeling with a skylight and large windows overlooking the rock outcroppings on the private property. Built in shelving to hold towels, and other bath accessories is adjacent to the frameless rain shower and mirrored sliding door to the bedroom.
