This summer house is scenically perched on a cliff overlooking the Trincomali Channel in B.C.'s Gulf Islands. The owner was eager it to have the feel and presence of a Meditteranean Villa. The house is defined by two courtyards that have been strategically set up to take advantage of the site. One courtyard is very inward looking and the other very outward looking to reveal the sublime landscape that surrounds. The rest of the "inside" spaces mediate between these two conditions setting up an exciting juxtaposition of sight and sound.
