McIntyre Residence

A T-shaped plan creates 3 outdoor courts, each with an accompanying porch. The entry court is a lush landscape of ground cover and stepping stones under a tree canopy. The southern court captures the prevailing breeze and is bordered by a semi-permeable fence on the south with structure and porch on the east and north respectively. The clients enjoy sitting on the porch with their children experiencing the frequent rainstorms. The northern court, influenced by turn of the century bath houses of the region, is an active space of hardscape and water.
