Mid-Century Overlook | Tampa Bay Remodel by Driftwood Studio Inc.

This remodel began with a simple goal: bring an aging mid-century home back to life while honoring its roots. Working closely with the homeowners, we opened the floor plan, brought in natural light, and infused the entire space with warm materials and thoughtful details.

The heart of the project became the custom kitchen—vertical panel cabinetry, handcrafted wood pulls, marble countertops, and a skylight that fills the room with Florida sun. From there, walnut floors, exposed beams, and modern brass lighting set the tone for a calm, design-forward home.

Large picture windows and wood-framed doors connect the living room and bedrooms to the outdoors, framing gardens and creating the indoor–outdoor flow so many Tampa Bay homeowners look for. The original stone fireplace was carefully refreshed, blending old charm with a new sense of simplicity.

Every element was built with intention—clean lines, custom craftsmanship, and close communication with the clients throughout. The result is a warm, modern home that feels both timeless and personal, and a great example of the designer–contractor collaboration we’re known for.
