Owner of Metro Form Construction called us and said “ can you make
a Tom Kundig Garage for me?” We said, “we can make a Flow Design
Garage for Metro Form Construction.” He gave us a shot and our first
residential garage ever is getting built. The concept was to break
up the existing oversized foundation the owner had poured several
years ago so that the garage could become many smaller elements
more dynamic and sculptural. Words such as floating, textured and
modern kept coming up and we kept going. The design belongs as
much to the owner as to us. The owner brought an open mind to the
table and lots of ideas. We are hoping to see this one finished in the
next month or so and believe it will be our best attempt to meet the
ambitions of the owner.
