We used a mix of materials and textures to create an organic but sleek kitchen for a busy family. Materials used: Quartzite Bianca on island counters and Piedra Cardosa on perimeter surfaces, travertine on back wall, walnut island cabinets and painted perimeter cabinets. The glass in the cabinets is obscured to allow the homeowners to store all items--not just the "pretty" ones behind them.
