This Mid Century kitchen was brought back to life by stripping it of its distressed materials and giving it an open plan 21st Century design. In this remodel, we replaced the counter tops, added tile back splashes, and removed some of the cabinetry, while re-using existing cabinetry, to give it more of an open feel. New open shelving was also introduced, along with a new iconic Mid Century light fixture by George Nelson. Lastly, the wall to the family room was removed and a new mahogany wood peninsula was added, which includes bar seating.
