This historic residence needed a kitchen remodel that included access to the lush backyard. There was an existing shed structure covering the storm stairs below and obstructing views and access to the rear. By removing the shed we were able to gain access to the back and add a deck with pergola. Inside we were able to raise the ceiling height by 18". To do so we needed to remove and existing steel beam, rotate it and pocket it into the floor joist structure above. Now the space is a lofty and bright gathering space for the whole family.
