Life is too short to prepare your food surrounded by sheetrock and fiberglass insulation, particleboard and PERGO. The view out the old farmhouse windows is much too nice to be looking thru fogged up fake plastic crap #AndersonWindows. This was a dairy barn. Why not keep it real?

Landing pad for dirty dishes above dishwasher. No sprayer needed here. A rectangular trash can for green waste is to the left. We wanted a hole in the countertop with a stainless steel wastebin for compostables, but hey, what do we know? We just do catering. Contractors hate us.

Faced with two small rooms we cut a huge hole in the wall. Here is the chef brainstorming his next brilliant idea. They used to store cans of milk in this room. We used 100 year old redwood from some old structures on the property and milled it on site to use for the flooring and cabinets.
