The Mimosa Residence in Rancho Santa Fe was designed as a renovation to connect the interior space to the exterior pool area. We were able to raise the ceiling in the Kitchen by exposing the existing roof structure, accentuating the tie beams. A large, centrally-located Kitchen island below creates an area for indoor gathering. The exterior trellis was designed to shade the home from direct sunlight while creating a transitional covered space to merge the interior w/ the exterior.
