This house had an open air central courtyard in the middle of the top story. We enclosed that & turned it into a breakfast nook with an island pass through to the Kitchen. I used fin walls with tall shelving to hide a structural post that supports a beam necessary to frame a large skylight where the courtyard used to be. We enclosed a small lightwell to enlarge a full bathroom. The bathroom incorporates a porcelain slab shower wall with matching countertop.
