A problem turned into a wonderful design element. Yard was elevated for easy access to front door and easy entry into garage.

R Residence. Courtyard allowed a gentle slope away from the house for drainage. The courtyard walls also served as retaining walls. Plantings and brick and iron allow entry to be soften that might otherwise have been a vast amount of harsh paving.

This doll house made it into Southern Living. It is Exceptional if I might say so myself. Courtyard was designed due to need for leveling entry area and creating better drainage away from the garage. Slopes create opportunities for outstanding results.

Community area.

T Residence. Lake lot with narrow side yard adjacent to the house. Owner wanted pool in the sloped area. No Problem I say. A retaining wall was put in on the high side with drains carrying runoff along backside of arbor. Arbor provides much needed shade for the South and privacy from the...

Final touch. Owner remodeled home and all was done except one final touch. Replace the old tiered lattice with some substantial newly painted lattice. Clean, pretty, perfect.

This postage stamp yard south of Broad in Charleston needed attention. The owner purchased then came to us with a list of things desired. Storage, a fountain, screening of parked car and patio space. No Problem. Only a small side door allowed access to backyard. That was closed off and sliding...

Planter replaced back door and landing. Wall was existing and shockingly we found a perfect match for the brick. Seamless. You could never tell the all but the wall was new.
