Modern Barn

This barn-like residence brings a touch of rustic charm to a new custom build in an urban forest designated "wildfire zone". The black metal roof and siding were chosen to conform to the exterior non-combustible material requirements.

The home is simple yet bold with its large wood beams creating warmth and contrast to the bright white walls and ceilings. The upstairs vaulted ceilings provide an expansive feel to the private living spaces. Large windows and a glass wall alongside the staircase allow for beautiful sight lines to the forest setting while bringing in the most amount of natural light.
