A steep slope along the front of home made guest access long and inconvenient. Creating a floating staircase accompanied with bright plantings allowed guests to park closer to the home while enjoying a comfortable, journey-like entrance experience. The sharp features of the boardwalk were designed to match the modern look of the home.
