We gutted the entire space, knocked through to the next door dining room and switched the rooms around to increase the light, make the space more functional for family life and modernise the spaces.
We added a corian peninsula that hid the washing up with a wine rack, we added bright large tiles to bounce the light around the room and a lot of lighting, transforming the space. The Clients chose classic dark grey shaker style cabinetry for the lower part of the kitchen to cope with busy family life, paired with neutral coloured cabinets for the walls and corner larder. To keep the budget where we needed it to be we added marble effect laminate worktops elsewhere which could be replaced in the future as and when budget would allow.
