Modern Makeover

Modern Makeover to a post WWII starter home in the Loring Heights neighborhood of Atlanta. This project transformed a drab home by creating a tour de force entry with cantilevered roofs leading to a vaulted living room. The kitchen make over brings the home into the current century.

Subtle shifts in the walls flanking the stairs and sensitive rail placement create a welcoming approach for guests. The height of the porch roof/ceilings make the entry feel grand.

A new porch gave this Loring Heights home a dramatic update. A fresh paint job helped anchor it to the landscape and tie together disparate materials. The warm stone and cantilever roofs added warmth and drama to the home.

Openings to the dining room on each side of the updated fireplace surround provide for gracious entertaining. The flat ceiling to the left helps define a foyer area.
