This project was a collaboration with Nicola Fanstone at Black Thumb Design, and the project management and construction team at Standing Bear Construction.

The client had recently purchased an office space in downtown Courtenay in a newley completed building. The space was empty, and the goal was to create 4 office spaces ranging from modest to executive size. The challange was to align the office partition walls of the executive office with the large divided windows that broke up the front and side exterior walls.

The solution I found was to center the office partitions on a window division and then extrude the window element into the partition wall with a piece of glass. The end result is stunning in appearance and allows light to flow much more freely between spaces.

Nicola brought her expertise in commercial interior design with the selection of materials, furnishings and paintings, as well as some helpful input on the development of the plan. The glass doors and partitions she helped to choose brings additional light and openenss to the space.
