The owners wanted a sophisticated look with rich materials and commercial style appliances. A place where friends and family could gather and enjoy all the splendor the desert has to offer.
The first order of business was to improve the connectivity from room to room by removing a separating wall to the great room. A bar existed in the great room already so to keep within budget, a peninsula bar was removed in the kitchen that closed the space off from the family room. Finally, soffits were removed to bring that open and airy feel in the kitchen.
Rich plumwood millwork acted as the backdrop to ice and coal flecked granite with glass tile dancing in the backsplash. Low maintenance porcelain plank flooring gave the room a linear edge while Wolf Subzero appliances were organized to take advantage of all the improvements.
