This home's original kitchen was a tight, galley style space with a door at either end. By opening up the wall between the dining room and kitchen area, we were able to create a peninsula with sink and dishwasher, breakfast bar and fill the space with light from the huge dining room window. To save on budget, the back door was left in it's original location but a custom cabinet helped to fill a dead space created by the opening door.
