Mountain Brook Remodel
Honey Miller is a designer in the Birmingham area, and we have worked with her on numerous projects over the years. When she decided to build her own home, she came to us with a certain vision for her cabinets. Using our Integrity line, we used our Bentley door for a more traditional look, and our Alabaster paint, which has been a top seller due to it being a very neutral off-white.
The kitchen features a stand-alone matching wood hood, and custom panels on all the appliances. The island has matching panels on either end, and additional storage on the back. The bar area to the side has lighted glass door cabinets in the center and high-back roll out shelves for bottle storage.
In the master, she had a specific look she wanted for the linen towers that would feature a “X-mullion” doors. We worked with Integrity to have these doors custom-made specifically for this project, and she finished them out with an antiqued mirrored glass behind them. For the sink bases in the vanities, she had requested them be an inverted cabinet, so she could get an extra drawer for storage. This design detail also had the added benefit of raising the bottom of the door section higher so she had easier access to items she uses more frequently.
The overall project was a successful collaboration--achieving an elegant look that was tailored to fit her individual tastes and needs. If you have an ideas or a dream kitchen in mind, Stop by and see me at our Homewood Showroom.
